Erfahrungsbericht zur Pilla 92CIL: Ein Gamechanger im Schießsport

Field report on the Pilla 92CIL: A game changer in shooting sports

I was skeptical at first because I've never been a big fan of tinted lenses - especially not yellow or generally colored tints like those from other manufacturers such as UVEX. But when I put the Pilla 92CIL on for the first time, I was simply thrilled. It was a real "wow" experience.

The tint of the lenses is unexpectedly pleasant and looks absolutely natural. Contrary to what you might have feared, it is not disturbing in any way - on the contrary: the lenses make the room appear brighter and clearly emphasize the contrasts. This is particularly evident when using red dots: the dot is extremely clear and precisely perceptible, but in no way disturbing or overly dominant.

Outstanding in competitions:

My first use of the Pilla 92CIL was at an IPSC competition that took place indoors under artificial light (like most in Germany). I was honestly surprised: despite the often uneven lighting, I was able to see the targets and their details much faster and more intuitively. The lenses did not require any "adjustment" or "straining" of the eyes - the target zones were simply clear and present.

I had another aha moment after the competition when I took off the glasses: the surroundings suddenly seemed unnatural and dull. It felt like I had missed out on an important filter and I immediately wanted to put the glasses back on.

Particularly strong in Philippsburg:

Most of the competitions I take part in take place in Philippsburg. Anyone who has shot there knows how unevenly the lighting in the ranges is: sometimes it is light, sometimes dark, and ceiling slats or other objects often cast disturbing shadows on the targets. Especially with brown targets against a sandy background, it is difficult to recognize the A zone or the transitions between several targets.

This is where the Pilla 92CIL shows its true strength: It makes it much easier to recognize contrasts and ensures that even poorly lit targets are immediately visible. This means less searching time and a faster, smoother firing process.

Conclusion: A must-have in IPSC and shooting sports

For me, the Pilla 92CIL is an indispensable part of shooting sports. It improves perception, is easier on the eyes and makes the whole experience more intuitive and pleasant. It is an indispensable tool, especially in challenging lighting conditions, as often occur in Germany.

I can wholeheartedly recommend these glasses to any IPSC shooter or shooting sports enthusiast. For me, they are an absolute game changer - and I wouldn't want to be without them!
